Project Details

Project Description

FTE was selected and has completed the Design Documents for both the site civil and the natural turf playing field at the temporary 12,500-seat capacity ballpark constructed by MLB. Hosted by the MLBPA, the “Fort Bragg Game” was played during the military post’s annual Fourth of July festivities. Following the game the ballpark will be converted to a permanent softball field and multi-purpose facility for those who serve at Fort Bragg, a gift courtesy of the Major League Clubs and Players. This event marked the first regular season game of a professional sport ever played on an active military base.

Fort Bragg Field won Baseballpark.com’s 2016 Ballpark of the year award.

Both home plate and the pitcher’s rubber will be displayed at the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.
